Doctor Day. We helped our friend get better. We would pick a secret number out of Mrs. Julie's hands and then had to put that many bandaids on our friend.
We made doctor bags and stethoscopes to take home.
Baker Day: We played with some fun sorting and matching games during centers.
We practiced writing our letter B's and matched some donuts for a matching game.
We made baker hats and then made some chocolate chip cookies for a snack.
We made a birthday cake with scraps of paper, glitter, glue, stickers and markers.
Firemen
We made a fun fire truck for snack time out of pretzels, oreos, graham crackers with red frosting and a fruit snack for the siren. The kids loved this, probably because it was a bunch of sweets.
We made fireman Dalmatians to go along with a book we read.
We did a fire obstacle course. They had to jump on the "fire" then stop drop and roll to our pretend phone where they dialed 911. After that they crawled out of the house and grabbed a hose to spray out the fire.
At the end of class we headed outside to draw some fire on Mrs. Julie's cement and then sprayed the fire out with water.
Now to some of my 4 year old class. Sorry, I need to be better at getting pictures of them.
Practicing our letter F with dry erase markers and counters.
Coloring by number
Fun Books we read.
Forgot to turn this one around. Oops.
Field trip to the fire station. Checking out the office.
Climbing aboard the Fire Engine.
One of our mom's got all dressed up! Even with oxygen. What a great sport!
Practiced stop drop and roll.
Another good sport. She got lucky and didn't have to go on oxygen. :)
Thanksgiving:
We played a math game where they would roll a die and then put that many feathers on their turkey.
We made our own Turkeys and wrote what we were thankful for on the feathers.
We made a list of what we were Thankful for. I loved when one little boy said he was thankful for his toys, especially mustaches. :)
Making our corn to remember that the Native Americans taught the Pilgrims how to plant crops.
Turkey number matching game.
Enjoying a Thanksgiving feast of crackers, ham, apples, string cheese, carrots, olives, mini cupcakes and apple juice.
We made turkey hats and the kids loved gobbling out to their parents at the end of the day.
After our feast we did some yoga with Mrs. Chelise. She had a fun story that we did different actions to go along with Thanksgiving. We started as a little egg and then cracked open. We flapped our wings and stretched our body. We pecked some food and then the hunter came. He shot his bow and arrow and carried his turkey home where he cooked it and placed it on the table. The kids loved all the yoga poses that went along with it. Thank you Chelise for all your fun ideas and exercise for the kids.
