October and November

E is for Eyes! Monster Eyes. I just adore how cute these guys look in their monster hats they made. They loved learning about one of our 5 senses of sight and we played a few games to just see how awesome their eyes are.

We have been talking about the different seasons and why the leaves change in the Fall time. They made some pretty fall trees to decorate the walls in our classroom.

We are always working on numbers and letters and they loved playing a leaf number game that they added candy corn to and got to eat at the end when their leaf was all full.

The kids love reading around the room and looking for shapes, colors, numbers and letters with my fun pointers.

We love sharing with friends and working on puzzles, rhyming words, letter recognition, numbers and sounds.

H is for Haunted House! We played a fun number game with Halloween friends that were hiding out at our haunted house.

And we made our own Haunted Houses out of letter H.

They love little words like "Boo" that they are starting to read.

Halloween Party! Lots of fun this day going to different centers and making a Halloween Witch Brew. It was so funny that quite a few wouldn't drink it when I put pretend spiders, bats and mice in it.

I LOVE this little chicken costume!

We read a few stories about hats this day and had some fun reenacting them. This one was after the story Caps for Sale

We also read the story The Magic Hat where the magic hat turns people into different animals. The  kids each told me what their magic hat would turn them into and then they decorated it.

The kids loved this day hearing the story, I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie.

The kids made their own lady and retold the story and fed her each item. I hope they told you the story when they got home.

Fun writing letters in Pie pans with shaving cream

Comparing words that start with a letter B vs Letter P

They had to tell me what items were and weren't in the story and sort them.

The kids love playing with all our puppets!

We made our own little pies!

We made sentences and found letters in each sentence throughout the weeks.

K is for Kangaroos and J is for Joey. We made our own little kangaroo pocket and put a cute little Joey inside it. We also played a game where they used their sense of touch to guess what was in my kangaroo pocket ( a purse around my neck )

What a fun month we had! I sure love these little kiddos!
